Martin Aldrovandi was SRF's Northeast Asia correspondent in China for six and a half years until summer 2022. Before that, the 44-year-old lived in Taiwan, where he worked as a freelance journalist for various German-language media. Martin Aldrovandi studied Chinese, communication and journalism in Taipei/Taiwan, Hamburg and at the MAZ in Lucerne. He has been working for SRF since 2015. From spring 2023, Martin Aldrovandi will be reporting from Southeast Asia for SRF Radio and News Digital. Aldrovandi succeeds Karin Wenger in Bangkok, who is taking a sabbatical. In addition to Thailand, his reporting area includes countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Vietnam and Burma/Myanmar.
